A second opinion is a structured review of your ultrasound, biopsy and previous reports, with a clear written summary of options. It is most useful before a planned thyroidectomy.
A second opinion is given during an in-person consultation. Bring your ultrasound (images and report), biopsy result (Bethesda), hormone tests and any previous opinions; please do not send them by message.
When a Second Opinion Helps
When biopsy is indeterminate, when the planned operation feels too extensive or too limited, or when there is uncertainty about the diagnosis.
